World Organization of the Scout Movement (WOSM)

WOSM is a long-standing partner of KAICIID on the empowerment of young people through the Dialogue for Peace programme. The two organizations concluded MoUs in 2013 and 2023 to promote dialogue within the Scout movement.

The World Organization of the Scout Movement (WOSM) is an independent, worldwide, non-profit and non-partisan organization which serves the Scout Movement. Its purpose is to promote unity and the understanding of Scouting's purpose and principles, to help build a better world where people are self-fulfilled as individuals and play a constructive role in society

Through the Dialogue for Peace programme, KAICIID and WOSM have increased the number of dialogue facilitators and trainers within the Scouting movement, helping Scouts acquire the skills to promote a culture of peace and create positive change in their communities.

KAICIID has also contributed to the development of Guidelines for the Spiritual Development in Scouting and will continue to provide expertise in the development phase of WOSM’s Interreligious Dialogue programme.

In 2024, KAICIID supported WOSM in launching the Youth Champions of Peace project, funded by the TEMASEK Foundation. The programme is a cascading educational framework for Scouts in Indonesia, Malaysia, Singapore and Thailand to earn the recently created "Dialogue for Peace" and "Interreligious Dialogue" badges.
