Waheedullah Massoud

Production Executive for BBC World's Language Services

Mr. Massoud was the editor and bureau chief for BBC World's Afghanistan Service based in Kabul from 2011 to 2017 where he was leading the BBC Afghan Service's operation in Afghanistan. Prior to working with the BBC, Mr. Massoud worked as the correspondent and bureau manager for Agence France-Presse (AFP) based in Kabul for over eight years.

Mr. Massoud has a master’s degree in public administration from New York's Syracuse University, Maxwell School of Public Administration and Citizenship. He has his BA in law and political sciences from Kabul University. Mr. Massoud has a certificate of advanced study in security studies and a certificate of advanced studies in leadership of international organizations and NGOs. Mr. Massoud is a Fulbright Scholar.

Mr. Massoud is interested in conflict resolution, peace studies, intercultural and interreligious dialogue and geopolitics.
