Karen Castillo Mayagoitia is a Christian theologian, director of the Mexican Institute of Catholic Social Teaching and professor of theology and interreligious dialogue at different institutions. She has been the academic coordinator of the Chair of Feminist Theology at the Ibero-American University, as well as director at the General Directorate of Religious Affairs in the Mexican Government, where she coordinated the National Strategy for the Promotion of Respect and Tolerance for Religious Diversity. She is the coordinator of the project Creer en Plural (Consultation on religious freedom) in Mexico. She is also the author of the book Dignidad y religions.
