Injamam Mahbub Mojumder is from Bangladesh. He is currently completing an MPhil at the University of Dhaka and his thesis topic is interreligious dialogue. He has completed his bachelor's and master’s degrees in Religions and Culture. Injamam has more than 6 years of experience with interreligious dialogue. He has participated and volunteered as an organiser for many national and international organizations, like the International Association for Religious Freedom, United Religions Initiative, Centre for Interreligious and Intercultural Dialogue, Dialogue among the People of Abraham, A Common Word Among the Youths, etc. He participated in a youth leadership programme in India where he presented on religion and environmental concern.

Injamam is the author of several articles based on religious issues. He is now engaged in research areas. His research interest mostly covers interreligious dialogue and sustainable development, peacebuilding, pluralism, media and religion, environment and religion, and religion and practical ethics.

Injamam believes that religions are meant for peace and harmony.  According to Injamam, it is easy to generate hatred in minds which do not have any knowledge of other religions. Consequently, stereotyping, false judgment and radical thoughts have become big issues. This is why Injamam wants to devote his life to training children and youth on religious harmony and dialogue with the goal of understanding each other. For Injamam, interreligious dialogue initiates empathy and acceptance of diverse faiths with respect.

The motto he identifies with is: “Interreligious dialogue creates connectivity and that leads to sustainable development and peace”.
