The International Dialogue Centre (KAICIID) is continuing its work in peacebuilding initiatives in the Central African Republic through supporting the ongoing efforts of religious leaders working together to find a sustainable resolution to the crisis in the country.

KAICIID is supporting three influential religious leaders, Imam Kobine Layama, Monsignor Dieudonne Nzapalainga and Reverend Guerekoyame Gbngou, Muslim, Catholic and Protestant religious leaders who have been working together since 2012 to promote peace and reconciliation in CAR with the goal of transforming the violent conflict that has persisted for more than three years.

Over the next four months, with KAICIID financial support, the three religious leaders will be interacting with religious leaders and communities to advocate for interreligious dialogue and gain support for KAICIID’s work, which is a necessary precursor to making peace among religious communities in the country.

Their involvement in inter- and intrareligious dialogues will bring people together to lay the groundwork for making peace through dialogue.
