KAICIID Secretary General, Spanish Foreign Minister Committed to Dialogue and KAICIID

In the Spanish capital, Madrid, on 30 January 2018, KAICIID Secretary General Faisal Bin Muaammar briefed the Spanish Minister for Foreign Affairs and Cooperation Alfonso Dastis on the International Dialogue Centre’s (KAICIID) implementation of its strategy to promote interreligious dialogue between religious leaders and policy makers to strengthen social cohesion.

Noting that “KAICIID is a unique bridge between religious leaders and policy makers”, the Secretary General expressed his appreciation that “KAICIID has always been able to count on Spain's support”. Spain’s support is based upon an historical precedent for interreligious dialogue, the Secretary General said, “Spain is a country where the three Abrahamic religions coexisted.”

Foreign Minister Dastis reiterated the shared sense of purpose and stated that “KAICIID will always be able to count on the support of Spain”.
