Claudia Costa Moreira, MA
Claudia Costa Moreira is the Global Coordinator for Reconciled Peace-Filled Societies at Tearfund, a Christian humanitarian organization that partners with churches and community-based organizations to reduce poverty and injustice. Since joining Tearfund in 2019, she has also served as Country Director for Brazil and Peacebuilding Adviser for Latin America and the Caribbean. She lives in São Paulo, Brazil.
Claudia is Vice President of the Governance Council of the Brazilian Evangelical Christian Alliance. She holds an M.A. in Conflict Transformation from Eastern Mennonite University, as well as degrees in Business Administration, Marketing, and Management for Non-Profit Organisations.
She also teaches Peacebuilding and Conflict Transformation in theological institutions. As a certified STAR (Strategies for Trauma Awareness and Resilience) facilitator and practitioner, Claudia leads seminars on ‘Trauma and Resilience’ and ‘Organizational Trauma and Resilient Leadership’ for leaders of social movements, and humanitarian and faith-based organizations.
Claudia has worked across sectors and in international, cross-cultural environments: leading, engaging, and inspiring diverse groups in change processes within adverse contexts. She is passionate about interfaith and intercultural dialogue as essential tools for building peace, healing trauma, and fostering mutual understanding. A frequent speaker and published author, she focuses on peacebuilding, church unity, and creation care.
