KAICIID’s interreligious Board of Directors issued today the following statement following the recent horrific attack on a church in Pakistan, which resulted in dozens of deaths and injuries:

“We are saddened and horrified by the heinous attack on worshippers at Quetta’s Bethel Memorial Methodist Church in Pakistan. Our prayers are with the victims’ families and friends. We stand in solidarity with all religious minorities in Pakistan and reiterate that violence in the name of religion is an unjustifiable crime. We call upon all people of good will to unite against it. Such brutal attacks against people of faith in their houses of worship, sacred places of peace and devotion, contravene every religious value and creed. These crimes demonstrate that terror knows no religion and are serious violations of fundamental human rights.”
