The World Organization of the Scout Movement (WOSM) is an independent, worldwide, non-profit and non-partisan organisation which serves the Scout Movement. Its purpose is to promote unity and the understanding of Scouting's purpose and principles, while facilitating its expansion and development. The organs of the World Organization are the World Scout Conference, the World Scout Committee and the World Scout Bureau.

KAICIID and the Scouts have been working together since 2013, when the two organizations concluded a Memorandum of Understanding to promote dialogue within the Scout movement. Through the Dialogue for Peace programme, training sessions and other activities promoting dialogue on the international, regional and national levels have been developed and conducted. By increasing the number of dialogue facilitators and trainers within the Scouting movement and by helping the Scouts acquire the skills and confidence in dialogue and understanding of spiritual development, they can promote a culture of peace and create positive change in their communities.
