Dr. Boris Milosavljević studied theology at the Faculty of Theology of the Serbian Orthodox Church (1987–1990). He also studied philosophy at the University of Belgrade before receiving his MA in philosophy (1986–1993), and later earned his magister in Philosophy from the University of Belgrade in 2000.

He served as Deputy Minister in the Ministry for Religious Affairs of the Federal Republic of Yugoslavia from 2000–2002 and later served as the Deputy Secretary in the Secretariat for Religious Affairs in the State Union of Serbia and Montenegro in 2003. He served as Deputy Chief of Staff to the Prime Minister of Serbia from 2004-2008. 

Dr. Milosavljević received his doctorate in political science from the University of Belgrade in 2010. He is now the Deputy Chair of the Board of the Institute and Fellow at the Institute for Balkan Studies of Serbian Academy of Sciences and Arts.
