The International Dialogue Centre - KAICIID is set to host an insightful three-part webinar series exploring religious literacy across various global contexts. Each 30-minute session will feature engaging conversations with esteemed experts, aimed at enhancing understanding and promoting dialogue on critical issues involving religion, diplomacy, conflict resolution, and inclusive education. This unique series underscores KAICIID’s commitment to fostering understanding across cultures and faiths by equipping individuals and institutions with the knowledge and tools to navigate religious diversity.

The three webinars include:

Religious Literacy and Diplomacy
The first webinar, scheduled for Thursday, 17 July, features Professor Erin K. Wilson, a renowned scholar in Diplomacy and Global Affairs. Professor Wilson will discuss the importance of religious literacy in diplomatic practices and global policymaking. Participants will gain insights into how an informed approach to religion can positively influence international relations and global cooperation..

Religious Literacy in Conflict and Interfaith Engagement
On Monday, 21 July, the series continues with a conversation led by Dicky Sofjan, an expert on Conflict and Interfaith Engagement. Sofjan will highlight the pivotal role of religious literacy in conflict resolution and peacebuilding efforts, showcasing practical examples from around the world. This session promises to equip attendees with strategies to enhance interfaith dialogue and address religiously motivated conflicts effectively.
