The International Dialogue Centre (KAICIID) hosted the Global Advisory Council Meeting for the Effective Inter-religious Action in Peacebuilding (EIAP) project from 8 to 10 May 2017 at the KAICIID secretariat to support their work in establishing guidelines for evaluating interreligious collaboration initiatives.

Evaluation is an essential part of strengthening and improving interreligious collaboration, and this initiative, led by the Alliance for Peacebuilding and funded by the GHR Foundation, featured discussions and hands-on exercises, as well as presentations on the findings from field-tested guidelines.

The participating organizations reviewed existing evaluation tools, an important stepping-stone in reinforcing accountability, results and learning in all peacebuilding initiatives. It also helps in the development of a common source of guidance for practitioners who are involved in planning and conducting evaluations of interreligious initiatives. KAICIID experts also provided insight on how the guidelines can be further developed and will continue to offer consultative support.
