INTERRELIGIOUS GROUPS STRENGTHENING RECONCILIATION IN SRI LANKA

Somia Maransyngha is the Senior Project Officer of the National Peace Council (NPC) in Sri Lanka. Within the framework of a project called “Religion to Reconcile” promoted in 8 local districts, NPC offers training in transnational justice and pluralism to interreligious committees as well as to women, youth, community and political leaders, people with disabilities, and journalists. Trainings are followed by social cohesion and exchange activities, such as sports events and food festivals where all the religious groups are represented.
