Abakar Walar Modou is the Secretary General of the King Faisal University, the Director of the Holy Quran Affairs of the Chadian High Council for Islamic Affairs, and the second vice imam of the central mosque of N’Djamena, Chad.
Abakar holds a Master’s degree from the King Faisal University as well as a PhD in Arabic language from the Islamic University of Oumdourman. He teaches history of Islamic thought at the University of N’djamena.
He has also been a member of various interfaith committees in Chad such as the National Committee of Interfaith Dialogue, the Muslim and Christian Leaders Committee, and served as the Honorific President of the Association of Youth for Interfaith Dialogue.
