Doz. Dr. Mihailo Popović

Since March 2012, Doz. Dr. Popović has been serving as Secretary of His Eminence the Greek Orthodox Metropolitan Dr. Arsenios (Kardamakis) of Austria (Ecumenical Patriarchate of Constantinople).

Dr. Popović has obtained the following academic qualifications: Doz. Mag. Dr. phil.; 2000: Mag. phil. with highest distinction (University of Vienna, 2000); Dr. Phil. with highest distinction (University of Vienna, 2005). He was granted a licence to teach "History of South-East Europe and Byzantine Studies" (University of Vienna, 2011), and is currently working for the Austrian Academy of Sciences (ÖAW) in Vienna on the project "Tabula Imperii Byzantini (TIB)" as one of the two project leaders and as scholarly co-worker on the volume "Macedonia, Northern Part" (TIB 16) and as Principal Investigator (PI) of the project "Digitising Patterns of Power (DPP): Peripherical Mountains in the Medieval World" (http://dpp.oeaw.ac.at/).
