Universidad Complutense de Madrid

Founded in 1499, Universidad Complutense de Madrid (UCM) is a Spanish public university with 26 faculties and over 30 research institutes. With more than 83,000 students, it is the largest university in Spain, a leading academic institution in Latin America, and one of the most prestigious universities in the Spanish-speaking world.

KAICIID and UCM cooperate on joint research projects, especially in the interdisciplinary fields of Religious Studies, Peace Studies, and Intercultural and Interreligious Studies. UCM has also contributed to many of KAICIID’s knowledge resources including the Centre’s online courses and Fellows trainings.

KAICIID and UCM have also participated together in numerous global fora including the XI and XII International Congresses organized by the Spanish Society of Sciences of Religions, held in Seville in 2016, Saragossa in 2018, and the G20 Interfaith Forum.
